... Call goes to Hawaii. Tomorrow morning (October 9th), I fly from Boston to Chicago to Los Angeles to Honolulu, HI. A fellow grad student (Tina) and I will be spending four days exploring the Big Island and two days at a resort in Oahu before boarding our research vessel on October 17th.

During our four days on the Big Island we hope to see black sand beaches, giant waterfalls and red hot magma. During our two days on Oahu we hope to see Pearl Harbor, snorkel and sit by the pool sipping fruity drinks. I am not sure what the internet connection will be like for the next week, but I promise to upload pictures as soon as I can.
